Get to Know Charmaine Tincher

Charmaine Tincher, Owner/Publisher of Venice City Lifestyle Magazine, has shaped her life around a passion of inspiring and helping others. This passion has been magnified through her love of her children and now 5 grandchildren, so when she came to learn of CPC, she was immediately ready to use her voice and influence as an advocate for the children we serve.

As a business owner who is heavily involved within the community, Charmaine has a profound understanding of the power behind a community that bands together in advocacy and creating an expansive, trusted safety net for vulnerable children- both in preventing child abuse from occurring in the first place and in providing the support for survivors to heal.

Get to Know Phil Adams

Phil Adams was introduced to the Child Protection Center during a chance meeting with CPC’s VP of Philanthropy, Sheila Miller.

“After hearing her presentation regarding the multitude of services offered by CPC, I couldn’t help myself- because the child she described was ME. I was that child who did not have an intervention. I was that child who did not have any services. By the grace of God, I was the child who survived.”

Later in life, Phil found therapy and learned to thrive. He feels it’s his duty as a child abuse survivor as well as a father of seven to do whatever is in his power to help children like himself receive the services he didn’t have access to, regardless of income, station, race, or religion. His personal mission is to provide a living, breathing representation of what a victim looks like when they become a survivor- to show the transformational healing that is possible with the right support, much like the transformation of a butterfly that CPC represents.
