Child Protection Center Therapy Programs

CPC has been providing clinical therapy for survivors of child abuse since 1986. Every child’s abuse experience is different, and it is the job of CPC’s Clinical Therapy Team to meet children where they are in their journey towards healing. The overall goal is to provide children with services that afford them to live a healthy, restored life after their traumas. We are the only provider in Sarasota County specialized in child physical and sexual abuse treatments free of charge.

Within CPC’s Therapy Programs, the Sexual Abuse Treatment Program (SATP) provides specialized therapy to children who have experienced sexual or physical abuse. In its most recent monitoring, CPC’s SATP ranked as one of the highest performing clinical therapy programs for child sexual abuse survivors in the state for the third consecutive year in a row.

The Kid Kindness Program provides specialized therapy to address sexual behavior problems and early indications of aggression in children.

Both of these programs are provided free of charge to the client, as well as non-offending caregivers and siblings.

Child abuse has lasting physical, social, and emotional impacts on those who experience this trauma. Many people don’t tell their story due to shame, guilt, or embarrassment. Our newest program, ‘Hanna’s Hope,’ will allow us to strengthen the continuum of free mental health services provided at CPC by bringing mental health support to adult survivors of child abuse. Through this program, we strive to provide continuous hope for all survivors of child abuse.
