Doug Staley is recognized throughout the state for his work in the child protection system and has been a dedicated member of the Child Protection Center, serving both Sarasota & DeSoto Counties, for 26 years. He has served as the Executive Director of the Child Protection Center since September 24th, 2011. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of South Florida. He was the recipient of the Florida Department of Health Child Protection Team Leadership Award as well as awarded the Junior League’s Child Advocacy Professional of the Year in 2011. He serves on the Florida Department of Health Quality assurance Committee as Team Lead, is a Child Abuse Expert, and long-time parenting educator. Mr. Staley is a veteran serving in the United States Army from 1988 to 1991. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Sabrina, with whom he has celebrated over 30 years of marriage. They have three children and one grandchild. The mountains are his refuge and he and his family enjoy hiking and white water rafting.
