Campus of Healing

At the Child Protection Center, we believe that children should be free from harm. We’ve embarked on a campaign to bring healing to child abuse survivors and their families because we refuse to fail our community’s children.

The Child Protection Center is growing! This is an enormous stepping-stone for us and our community as it provides better access to our essential services for families in South Sarasota County. For 45 years, the Child Protection Center has been making tremendous progress in the fight against child abuse. However, the demand for CPC’s services has continued to steadily increase – alongside the population growth of over 200% since 2000 in North Port alone. There are children requiring immediate access to our services and it is our responsibility to protect them, and to ensure that every child is free from harm. Our North Port location is more than just buildings, but rather an entire Campus of Healing.

Our Campus of Healing is a safe, private, and central space for the expansion of our services and support. It will accommodate our immediate needs and control long-term costs. It is a vision for our future, that we can develop thoughtfully and economically. The need is clear – it is our responsibility to ensure that all children are safe from abuse.

Goal:

Increase Capacity and Access to Services

Outcome:

Expansion of space allows CPC to serve more children and families as the region grows, preventing waitlists and offering timely support.

Goal:

Provide Trauma-Informed Care

Outcome:

Delivery of trauma-focused, evidence-based therapy in a dedicated, safe environment, ensuring positive client outcomes.

Goal:

Ensure Long-Term Sustainability

Outcome:

Establishment of an Operations and Maintenance Reserve Fund, ensuring ongoing facility upkeep, and implementation of special events for continuous funding.

Goal:

Support Community Engagement and Trust

Outcome:

Strengthened partnerships and community visibility, contributing to a healthier, more resilient environment for child abuse survivors.
