2019 marks the 40th year for the Child Protection Center and its comprehensive approach to the prevention, intervention, and treatment, of child abuse. To make this milestone year the most impactful year yet for the areas we serve, a separate initiative has been launched: Captains for the 40th Anniversary Celebration.
"When brainstorming about CPC’s 40th Anniversary, chairwoman of CPC’s Advisory Council, Alisa Pettingell, didn’t want to plan another luncheon or gala that would compete with the organization’s annual Blue Ties & Butterflies fundraiser, which is held every April during Child Abuse Prevention Month. She came up with the idea of recruiting 40 captains with the charge of raising $10,000 each and the goal of raising $400,000 by November 2019." Observer Media Group
